cure與treat的三點區別：
1.用作動詞，兩者都可表示“治療”，但含義有區別：cure通常強調結果，指治癒某種疾病或某人的疾病；而treat則通常強調過程，指對病人進行診斷和治療，但不含治好的意思。
比較：
A few days’ rest will cure you. 休息幾天你的病就好了。
This medicine will cure your cough. 這藥可治好你的咳嗽。
The dentist is treating my teeth. 牙科醫生在給我看牙。
Is he able to treat this disease (the wound)? 他能治這病(傷)嗎?
2.注意以下兩句cure和treat所搭配的介詞不同：
The doctors cured her of cancer. 醫生治好了她的癌症。
Which doctor is treating you for your illness? 哪個醫生在給你看病?
有時用於引申義，Parents try to cure their children of bad habits.父母設法糾正孩子們的不良習慣。
表示“治療”，可用作名詞。若表示“對……的治療”或“治療……的方法”，一般用介詞for。 如：
Is there a certain cure for cancer yet? 迄今癌症有無有效的治療方法?
Scientists have so far failed to provide a cure for the common cold. 科學家們到目前爲止還沒有找到一種治療普通感冒的方法。
