容易誤選A，因爲空格後的句子是用以說明 I’m sorry 的原因的，所以便想當然地認爲要選for來表示原因。而事實上，I’m sorry 後習慣上不接表示原因的連詞 for，而接表示轉折的連詞 but（也可省略 but），用以委婉地提出一個使對方不快的事實。又如：I’m sorry, (but) you can’t come in. 對不起，你不能進來。I’m sorry, but I can’t agree. 很遺憾，我不能贊同。注：I’m sorry 後雖然不能接表原因的連詞for，但卻可接介詞 for。如：，但卻可接介詞I’m sorry for her. 我爲她難過。Aren’t you sorry for what you have done? 難道你不爲自己所做的事感到遺憾嗎？
