據外媒報道，意大利15日報告新增新冠肺炎確診病例3590例，新增死亡368例。目前，該國累計確診新冠肺炎病例24747例，累計治癒2335例，累計死亡1809例。
據統計，意大利15日新增死亡數已創該國單日新增最高紀錄，此前，中國單日新增死亡數最高爲254例。
隨着確診人數和死亡病例的不斷增加，意大利也於不久前宣佈了封城。對不少省份實施封城，禁止人們進入或離開那些城市，受到影響的人口多達一千多萬。歐洲媒體將意大利的這一舉措形容爲“中國以外地區最雷厲風行的抗疫措施”。
