一、考查表示時間的用法，其意爲“當……的時候”。
如：
We must strike while the iron is hot.

假期裏我們有足夠的書看嗎?
Were there any calls for me while I was out?

二、考查表示讓步的用法，其意爲“儘管”“雖然”。
如：
While the work.was difficult, it was interesting.

如：

四、考查其省略用法，即主句與從句主語相同，且從句謂語動詞含有動詞be時，通常可省略從句主語和動詞be。
