口試二階段英譯漢技巧講解

1．“得意忘形”
聽的重點是meaning, 而不是every word，

2．注意語言的邏輯性，在聽的過程中提煉structure

如，當聽到以下句子的時候. Many changes are taking place in Americans’ food styles. Comparatively speaking, we have now many different alternatives to choose from: various ethnic foods, nutrition-balanced health food, and convenient and delicious fast food, in addition to the traditional home-cooked meal.

這個句子邊聽就要邊分析其結構：總說+列舉

3．保證關鍵詞的完整性和正確性。

如 提到的是APEC, 你不要譯成OPEC。

4. 不要糾纏沒有聽清的次要性息，要學會放棄

Americans are now using government websites to apply for student loans, and find good jobs. They’re tapping into the latest health research, browsing through collections in the Library of Congress, and following NASA's missions in outer space.

一些列舉的信息很難譯全，四個列舉，答出二三個即可

5. 不要隨意添加信息

Eg. Benjamin Franklin was right when he expressed this view: “Do you love life? Then do not waste time, for that is the stuff life is made of.” We Americans see time as an extremely valuable resource.

6. 遇到難詞不要慌，根據上下文猜測詞意

Eg 1 Our high schools are obsolete and out-of-dated. By “obsolete”, I don’t just mean that they are broken, old-fashioned and under-funded.

Eg 2 They prefer to shop, dine or sit in ‘adult-only’ spaces in order to avoid wailing infants and keep themselves quiet and peaceful.

7. 運用常識

Eg. South of the canyon lies Yellowstone Lake, one of the world’s largest freshwater lakes. Don’t plan on going for a dip—the water is too cold!
大峽谷的南面是科羅拉多湖，世界上最大的新鮮水湖，不要嘗試在裏面浸泡，因爲湖水很冷。

8. 關於組句技巧

a. 不要堆砌定語，定語從句要拆分，做到listener-friendly

Eg. In this fast-changing world, there are always young potential employees who believe that opportunities arising from new and high technology can create fortunes faster than ever before.
在快速變化的世界裏，總有一些年輕的，有潛力的，相信來自於高新技術的機會能更快地創造財富的員工。

Eg. Chinese communities are thriving in many American urban centers, and their reputation as a model minority has aroused further interest in this distant land, which is so vastly different.
許多美國城市的華人社區一片繁榮，並且享有模範少數民族的美譽，這讓美國人對這個遙遠國度產生了濃厚興趣。然而，他們的文化卻大相徑庭。

b. 順句驅動原則----按照原語句子的順序口譯，不輕易改變句序。 往往要重複或增詞
