other的用法
一r用作形容詞
r用作形容詞作“別的,其他的,另外的”解時,常用來修飾複數名詞或不可數名詞; 如前面有this,that, some, any, each, every, no, none, one等詞時,也可用來修飾單數名詞。
r用在the或形容詞性物主代詞之後時,與單數名詞連用表示“(兩個中的)另一個”; 與複數名詞連用表示某一集體中“其餘的,剩下的(人或物)”。
二r用作代詞
r用作代詞時常用於複數形式,表示“其他的,別的或另外的人〔事物〕”; others若用於the或表示所屬關係的限定詞後,則表示“其餘的人〔事物〕”,即把剩下的全部包括在內。
r也可用於單數形式,表示“(兩者中的)另一個(人或事物)”,常與the連用。
