多所高校縮短國慶假期A number of universities have reduced holidays for the coming National Day and Mid-Autumn Festival, as students are encouraged not to leave campus for nonessential travel to prevent the spread of COVID-19.
國內多所高校決定縮短即將到來的國慶中秋長假，鼓勵學生非必要不離校，以防止新冠肺炎的傳播。This year's National Day holiday, which runs from Oct 1 to 8, has been extended one day as Mid-Autumn Festival falls on Oct 1.
今年10月1日恰逢中秋節，因此國慶假期比往年多了一天，從10月1日一直持續至10月8日。
Hubei University in Wuhan, for instance, has cut the eight-day holiday to a one-day break, but will begin the winter vacation at an earlier date as compensation.
位於武漢市的湖北大學將8天假期縮短至1天，但會提前放寒假作爲補償。
North China University of Water Resources and Electric Power in Zhengzhou, Henan province, has halved the holiday to four days. It will start winter vacation a week earlier than scheduled instead.
