廣西工商學校超發錄取通知書致百名學生遭拒收
More than 100 students enrolled at a vocational school in South China were turned away on registration day because there wasn't enough dorm space for them.
由於校方牀位不足，100多名被中國南方一職業學校錄取的新生在註冊日遭到拒絕。The Guangxi Industry and Commerce School (GICS) in Nanning broke the news of the over-enrollment to students when they attempted to register for classes last Saturday, a parent posted on social media.
一位學生家長在社交媒體上發文稱，當他們上週六前往位於南寧的廣西工商學校報名入學時，校方卻宣佈招收名額已經滿員了。The students had waited into the night before the school finally broke the news of the over-enrollment, a student said.
一名學生表示，一些學生一直等到當天晚上，學校才告知名額招滿的消息。
'The problem began when the school sent out a total of 2,000 enrollment offers to new students despite only having room for 900 in the school's dormitories', a GICS employee explained.
廣西工商學校一位工作人員對此解釋稱：“學校發出了2000多份新生錄取通知書，不過宿舍牀位只有900多個。”"We sent offers to all the students who had contacted us and showed interest in studying at our school," the employee said.
他說：“只要是聯繫了我們學校，有意願報名的學生，我們都發放了錄取通知書。”Those that had not paid tuition before the August 10 deadline were also turned away, the school said.
校方表示，那些在8月10日前沒有來繳納相關費用的學生，也不能登記入學。Local education officials said schools often cast their nets wide for students to stave off under-enrollment, a problem for most vocational schools.
當地教育局官員表示，職業學校多存在招不滿學生的現象，爲了避免此情況，學校一般都會多發放些通知書。
