Make a three-minute speech based on the video. Please give your speech a title. Huize said to Zhuangzi :"the prince of Wei gave me a seed of a large kind of gourd. I planted it, and it bore fruit as big as a five bushel measure. Now had I used this for holding liquids, it would have been too heavy to lift; and had I cut it in half for ladles, the ladles would have been too flat for such purpose. Certainly it was a huge thing, but I had no use for it and so broke it up." "It was rather you did not know how to use large things! Now as to your five-bushel gourd, why did you not make a float of it, and float about over river and lake? And you complain of its being too flat for holding things! I fear your mind is stuffy inside.

Read the story starter and continue the story. Complete the story in 600-800 words.

The little man came up to me as I was about to enter the telephone box, and asked me whether I had a match.

“I’m sorry,” I said. “I don’t smoke, so I haven’t any. You had better ask someone else.”

He looked rather disappointed, hesitated, and then turned away. I watched him walk slowly down the street before I picked up the telephone directory to look up the number I meant to dial. I am not used to a public call box so, at my first attempt to get through, the warning pips had stopped before I realized I had to insert a coin.

When I was at last able to speak, I was told that the person whom I urgently wanted to give a message to had just that minute gone out.

Swearing slightly under my breath, I emerged from the box and came face to face with the little man, who was looking as pathetic as a stray dog. As he raised his hat again, I could see he was quite

bald. A thin line, resembling a duelling scar, crossed one cheek. He spoke nervously.

“Excuse my troubling you again,” he said. “May I walk along with you a little way? I must confide in someone. I need help desperately.”

Good afternoon , my respected teachers and judges, my name is yangqi. It’s my great honour to stand here to give my speech. The title of my speech is “Try to find out the best value of everything”.

I believe that we all have watched the video. In this video Huize told Zhuangze that he ha a large kind of big gourd but he

found it useless . So he broke it up. After hearing these comments, Zhuangze said “I’m afraid that you mind is stuffy inside”.

This video shows that everything has its own value. What counts is whether it can be found out the best value .

In our life we think that many things are not valuable, so we ignored them in many ways. But this is not the case. Such as lag spike, although it is very small and common, it has very important effect on many things. God closes a door for you and a window will be opened for you. Everyone has their own strength and weakness. The important thing is that we need to find out the best value of us. If Luxun wouldn’t give up the job of doctor, he maybe could not make a great contribution to our society. Everyone has their own different value. As the saying goes, your attitude decides everything.

It’s unnecessary to admire others all the time it in mind, you yourself are a spectacle and you are unique in the world. It’s your duty to lead a bright future and make a difference. Take action now and try to find out the best value of everything. I believe you can make it.

Thank you for your listening.
