Dear Mr. President,

I am writing this letter to you to express my concern about the sportsfacilities on campus. I have noticed that our university has very limitedresources in terms of opportunities to participate in sports, especially giventhat the number of students on campus is increasing every year.

As we both know, sports are very important for the sound growth of youngpeople. If they have access to quality sports facilities, young people are ableto choose a healthier lifestyle, to boost self-esteem and confidence, and tobuild a positive outlook and sense of achievement.

My proposal is to build a new sports area. It should be designed withsoccer players, basketball players, and ping-pong players in mind. It shouldhave a different section for each activity and be available to students all yearround. I believe such facilities will meet our sporting needs.

Thank you for your reading this letter.

Yours faithfully,

Li Ming

Dear Mr. President,

I'm a student in our university. I am writing this letter to inform you ofthe canteen service on our campus.

Generally speaking, we are not content with the canteen service in ouruniversity. The reasons are as follows:

First, although quality of the dishes is not bad, yet, most of the dishesremain unchanged all the year round. More and more students are complainingabout eating the same food every day. So I think variety of the food is the mosturgent problem that should be solved.

Second, the environment is not the same as we desire. Many students alwaystalk so loudly that we can't enjoy our meals. So I suggest that there be someslogans on the wall to remind them to be quiet, and some soft background musicto help us relax.

By the way the canteen workers are very patient in providing us with theservice. So I think they should be given more incentive to offer us betterservice in the future.

The above mentioned are not just what I think, but the idea of many of myclassmates'. We will be very glad if you can take our suggestions intoconsideration.

Best wishes,

Yours Sincerely Li Ming

Dear Headmaster,

I'm writing this letter simply to tell you something about the canteenservice in our school.I'm the minister from the life department of the Students'Union.

In general, the service is satisfactory. The dishes look inviting and tastedelicious as well. The price of the meals is OK for us and the variety of disheschanges every week. What's more, the workers there treat us as their friends, which makes us feel very happy.

However, we often have to stand in line for a long time before we can getthe meal. You could understand how precious time is to us students. Therefore, may I suggest something be done to solve the problems such as the dish qualityand surroundings so that we can all enjoy our meals at school?

Thanks for your consideration.

Sincerely yours,

Li Ming

Dear Mr. President,

My name is __, a sophomore majoring in International Trade. Havinglearned and lived on campus for nearly two years, I have found university lifemost exciting and instructive.

What happens around me every day has left a deep impression on me, but whatstrikes me most is the canteen service on campus, so that for some time I havehad the keen desire to write to you, sharing with you my positive comments onand negative feelings about it. On the one hand, we are happy to see that thecanteen staff has been sparing no efforts to guarantee food quality. As aresult, we are relieved from the anxiety that some food might be dirty, staleand inedible. We also feel contented with the service provided by the canteen, enjoying food in a homely atmosphere. On the other hand, improvements should bemade for the simple reason that prices for dishes are unreasonably high, andthat the canteen is not spacious enough and too noisy at times.

Therefore, to improve the overall service of the canteen the strengthsshould be encouraged, while the weaknesses ought to be overcome by loweringprices and expanding the canteen if possible.

Yours,

____

Dear President,

I’m a second year student of your university writing to tell you about myhumble opinions of the learning environment in our school.

Although we’re enjoying the modernized buildings equipped with advancedcomputers sufficient lights and well-installed desks and chairs we do find ithard for us to concentrate on study when we’re in the classrooms. For one thingthe annoying noise made by the vans and cars disturbs our studies. For anotherthe classrooms which are supposed to be used for self-study are unavailable forthey are usually occupied for meetings by various kinds of associations.

Faced with such a hard nut we should find ways to crack it. I suggest thatour school should construct some special lanes for the traffic and provideassociations with specific rooms to have their meetings in order to provide abetter learning environment for us.

I appreciate your sincere consideration of my suggestions and hope that ourschool will be ideal for academic studies.

Yours sincerely,

Dear principal: Hello!

Recently, you have been emphasizing safety education at morning meetings.Various forms of education let us know the importance of safety, and let us knowsome methods of self-protection. I keep these in mind. However, you seem to havemissed some details in your speech. Here I will give you some tips.

Last Thursday morning, there was a get out of class ending. A third-gradeclassmate went downstairs to go to the toilet because the toilet on the thirdfloor was broken. He fell to the ground due to slippage. So I suggest that theprincipal you should buy some non-slip carpets and spread them on the groundwhen it rains to reduce unnecessary damage and make our campus more beautifuland safer.

Maybe my proposal is naive, or it may not be realized for a while. As longas it can be resolved in time, our campus will become more beautiful, and wewill grow happier.

Sincerely,

Your student:

Dear principal:

Hello! Is the body coming in well?

headmaster! Have you found any shortcomings in the school recently? At theback of the school there is a trail to the outside of the school. Sometimes whenthe last class is physical education, some people go back from there first; whenthe school door is not open at noon, some students enter the school from there, disturbing other students to take a nap.

headmaster! In the middle of the teaching building and the laboratorybuilding, there are two lawns. When spring and summer come, a lot of grass willgrow, making it impossible for people to play on it. headmaster! I suggest thatyou turn those two lawns into lotus ponds with pavilions and paths. When thestudents have finished a few classes, they are a little tired, so they can reston it; relax. In this way, you will have sufficient energy in class and listencarefully.

Wish: Good health and smooth work!

Sincerely,

Your student:

Dear principal:

Hello! I am Huang Sui from Grade Two Class Two. I know you are very busy, but I hope you will finish reading my letter in your busy schedule.

Recently, I discovered that some older brothers and sisters left afterwashing their hands without turning off the water. If this continues, we willrun out of water! I told them to close the water well, or close the watertightly, but they didn’t listen, and they said, "Go away, kid, be careful I beatyou to death!" I had no choice but to wash my hands first. Then turn off thewater. The same goes for the aunts in the cafeteria. When I saw them washing thedishes, the water in a big basin was already full, so I still didn't turn offthe water. I hope that the older brothers and sisters and the aunts in thecafeteria can get rid of this habit of wasting water and become water-savingpeople!

Dear principal, I hope you can tell everyone to save water and protect ourresources. Thanks!

Working smoothly!

Sincerely,

Dear Headmaster,

I am the minister of students' life in the Student Union. On behalf of allthe students, I am writing to you to give our opinions about the canteen.

Our canteen has something satisfactory and something unsatisfactory aswell. To our satisfaction, many kinds of the food are supplied to us. Besidesthis, the food is cheap and tastes good. We all enjoy the food. And thesurroundings in the canteen have also been improved. But the quantity of ahelping they give is not enough. The seats are not enough as well. Some studentshave no seats when eating.

Finally we advise them to improve the quality of the food and theirservice. We will feel very happy if these problems can be solved.
