Drink这个词虽然是“喝”的意思，但是如果没有指明是喝水(drink water)或是喝其他的东西，则多半指的是喝酒(drink alcohol)的意思。drinking problem，指的是“酗酒”的习惯。另外，在速食店若店员问，"What kinds of drinks do you want?"（你要什么饮料？）这里的drinks指的是soft drinks的意思。
