“清清濁濁元濁”在動詞過去式的運用
規則的過去式變化是+ed,而這個ed有時發清輔音/t/有時發濁輔音/d/，記住清清濁濁的口訣即可。
liked, watched /t/
“單詞最後一個音是清輔音（聲帶不震動），則ed發清輔音的/t/”
moved /d/
“單詞最後一個音是濁輔音（聲帶震動了），則ed發清輔音的/d/”
stayed, played /d/
“單詞最後爲元音，則ed也發濁輔音的/d/”
另外有個特殊情況，這裏也可以用一個口訣“t, d後面發/id/”
wanted, visited /ɪd/
handed /ɪd/
“清清濁濁元濁”在名詞複數的運用
同理，規則的名詞複數是+s，而這個s有時發/s/有時發/z/，記住清清濁濁的口訣即可。
desks, maps /s/
dogs, legs, rooms /z/
cars, /z/
另外有個特殊情況，就是以t和d結尾的名詞，加了s之後是直接發/ts/或/dz/
cats, pets, aunts /ts/
hands, birds /dz/
補充說明：以s、x、sh、ch結尾的名詞後加-es發/ɪz/。如詞尾是e,只加-s
class-classes/box-boxes/dish-dishes/watch-watches/horse-horses /ɪz/
