The expression "Out of the blue" is used to describe any event that happens unexpectedly.

"Out of the blue"這個表達通常用來描述一件事情這件事情令人始料不及。

There is no warning or time to prepare.

沒有任何預警和準備。

The word "blue" in the expression refers to the clear, blue sky.

在表達中，“blue”這個單詞，指的是乾淨蔚藍的天空。

In our example, Anna was surprised by an "out of the blue "message from an old boyfriend.

在我們的例子中，Anna感到吃驚，因爲收到一條意外的信息來自她久未聯繫的前男友。
