error, fault, blunder, flaw, mistake, shortcoming, defect, slip

這些名詞均有“錯誤”或“缺點”之意。

error指思想或行動背離正題軌道或沒有得到正確指引而出現的偏差或錯誤。

fault一般指小並且可寬容的缺點、錯誤。

blunder通常指由於無知或情況不明造成判斷或行動上的大錯。

flaw指結構或組織上的缺點，如破裂之處。用作比喻意義時，指品格上的缺陷。

mistake最普通用詞，泛指思想上、行爲上或認識上的判斷或理解方面的錯誤。

shortcoming指沒有達到所要求的標準、沒有充分發展或沒盡到職責的不足、缺點或短處。多用複數形式。

defect普通用詞。指表面上的缺陷，或指人或物本質上的缺點。

slip指因疏忽或無意而造成的差錯。
