英語中not和no的差別有哪些

英語的否定式，主要體現在謂語中，還有一小部分體現在主語或者其他成分中。
1、not是副詞，主要用於爲 中的動詞的否定式;no是形容詞，用作前置定語限定名詞。no比not的語氣要強得多。
例如：
He does not have friends here.
他在這裏沒有朋友。
He has no friends here.
他有這裏根本沒有朋友。
They did not sell any oranges.
他們沒賣一個橘子。
They sold no orange.
他們一個橘子也沒賣。
2、not除了在表語前，可以直接否定句詞外，在別的場合不能直接否定名詞。
若要否定名詞，通常必須在名詞前加冠詞或者其他定語：
This is not green.
這不是綠色。
Not adrop of water could be found.
一滴水也找不到。
Not allthe pears are rotten.
不是所有的梨子都爛了。(部分否定)
3、no與not的一些區別：
1)no是形容詞，可以直接放在名詞前面。但如果名詞前面已有the, a(n)，any, much, enough等詞，則用副詞not。
例如：
√：I have no (=not any) money. 我沒有錢。
√：I haven’t much money. 我沒有很多錢。
╳：I have no much (no any) money.
2)與形容詞或者副詞的比較級連用時特別注意：用not屬於一般比較結構，意爲“比不上”或“不如”;用no則情況比較特殊，一般說來“no+形容詞或副詞比較級+than”所表示的意思是該形容詞或副詞的相反含義。
例如：
John is not better than Tom. 約翰不如湯姆好。
John is no better than Tom. 約翰和湯姆一樣不好(=壞)。
類例：no richer than = as poor as 一樣窮
no taller than = as short as 一樣矮
no later than = as early as 一樣早
3)在某些系表結構中，用not只表示一般的否定，用no則語氣較強，可翻譯成“決不是”。
例如：
He’s nota poet. 他不是詩人。
He’s no poet. 他決不是詩人。
4)no和not…any 都可以表示完全否定。注意，英語習慣上不說any…not。
例如：
√：He hasn’t any money. 他沒有錢。
√：No one came to see me. 沒有人來看過我。
╳：Any one didn’t come to see me.
5)非謂語動詞的否定式，通常可以用not而不用no。
例如：
The teacher told him not to be late again. 老師叫他不要再遲到。
Not having received an answer, he decided towrite another letter to her. 由於沒接到回信，他決定再給她寫一封信。
但是，在某些省略結構或固定結構中(尤其是用於命令，警告，標牌等場合)，表示“禁止”“不許”等意義時，一般只用no。
例如：
No smoking. 禁止吸菸。
No admittance except on business. 非公莫入。
