When a principal establishes a rule, you must understand that he or she has a good reason for it. If a rule requires that students must participate in extracurricular sports, you should understand that the principal knows that a strong body as well as a strong mind will help us in the future. If a rule requires that students must do two hours of volunteer work.in the community each week, you should understand that the principal knows that close involvement in the community builds strong character. A principal must be foresighted.

託業聽力與閱讀考試自2007年11月25日起採用改版後的新題型進行公開考試，難度與傳統的託業考試保持一致，內容設計上更加貼近當今現實的生活和工作語境。

託業聽力與閱讀考試是一個2個小時的單項選擇形式的紙筆考試，包括200道題，分成聽力和閱讀兩大部分，分開計時。

1) 聽力部分：共100道題45分鐘，包括四類問題。

第一類問題： 圖片描述 十道題 (四選一)

第二類問題： 問題與回答 三十道題 (三選一)

第三類問題： 簡短對話 三十道題 (10段對話，每段各三題)
