剛剛備考的同學們一聽到雅思機經可能還有點小迷茫，不知道這是什麼以及怎樣使用。雅思機經又稱雅思民間雅思答案題庫。是一種較全面地針對聽說讀寫四項能力的、爲打算到英語國家學習、工作或定居的人們設置的英語水平考試。
雅思考試由劍橋大學考試委員會外語考試部、英國文化協會及IDP教育集團所共同擁有。“雅思機經”這個名詞的由來和託福機經有關。機經指的是上機考試經驗，最先起源於托福考試，即對上機考試題目的回憶總結。雖然目前雅思考試並未採取機考方式，但是烤鴨們還是親切的稱雅思考試題目回憶記錄爲“雅思機經”。機經內容含聽力，閱讀，寫作及口語面試題目。其中寫作和口語部分對備考雅思的考生幫助很大。從另一個角度研究雅思歷年考題，半年題庫變更一次，研究同半年的機經，是完全可以遇到重複題目的。但其答案准確性衆說紛紜，並不完全標準，製作僅供研究參考。
聽力注意事項
會有一個試音的過程，要求你戴上耳機，你要在這個機會中儘量適應音量，並調節耳機線的長度和耳機的舒適度。然後你會看到答題紙，老外會仔細介紹答題紙的正確填寫，一定要仔細聽，如果沒有聽懂或不敢確定，一定要舉手詢問，因爲如果填寫錯誤，考的成績再好也沒用了。9點整(教室有鍾)聽力會準時開始。聽力的試卷是粉紅色的，很漂亮的。要在卷子上寫考號和名字的。
在錄音要求你打開試卷前不可以翻開(請務必完全遵照考場和考官的一切指揮，以免給自己帶來不必要的麻煩)。聽力完畢後不要取下耳機，因爲錄音會繼續提示你謄寫時限，並會提示你“two minutesleft”。當時間到了的時候務必馬上停筆，否則將被視爲作弊，要把筆放在桌上把答題紙翻到反面，等待收走聽力試卷。(聽力和閱讀用的是同一張答題紙的正反面)
閱讀
大約9點40左右閱讀考試就應該開始了，閱讀的試卷是比較柔和的黃色，雖然沒有聽力好看，但還是可以接受的。(注意，不要指望聽到開始考試或者結束考試的鈴聲，因爲閱讀和寫作的考試沒有固定的開始時間，每個教室根據各自考官分發試卷完畢自行宣佈，但60分鐘的閱讀考試時間是保的)。閱讀時間要抓緊，考官會在還剩30分鐘、15分鐘、5分鐘、2分鐘時提醒你，不要緊張，按自己的節奏做，最後如果來不及，不要有空的地方哦!老外會準時叫停，所以規矩和聽力一樣的。可以參考配套光盤進行學習
(特別提示：如果你運氣好，在閱讀的文章中看到了某個詞正好是你聽力中不會拼寫的，不要很激動地翻過答題紙修改，因爲這是不被允許的。你可以見機行事，但千萬不要爲了聽力的一分而浪費太多的時間，因爲閱讀的時間是很緊迫的。)考官會收走閱讀試卷和答題紙。
同學們對於雅思機經也不需要太糾結，覺得自己需要的話就去找一些看看，這個有沒有用也是看個人的。
雅思聽力機經的正確打開方式
問題原因分析：
1. 有很多同學在備考之前對雅思聽力考試考查的場景，難度，考題類型等都一無所知，更不用提“烤鴨”們津津樂道的“雞精”了。
2. 即使知道機經是什麼，也不知道應該以怎樣的態度和方法來利用機經。
3. 考試預測的版本號代表什麼。
4. 機經的預測真的能命中嗎。
常見表現：
不注重聽力的練習，把極大的希望押寶到對機經的背誦上，到頭來很可能是竹籃打水一場空，考試分數並沒有實際提高。
解決方法：
機經說白了就是對於雅思聽力每次考試場景，題型，題目內容以及答案的一個集合。
機經作爲雅思備考的有效資料，也有它的弊端，那就是聽力原文的無法重現。所以機經裏面也只是記錄了每次考試中的場景描述、題目類型、順序以及絕大多數題目的正確答案(有些題爭議較大，無法確定正確答案是什麼)，而並沒有每道題目的相應原文。由於雅思聽力考試會重複以前考過的場景，且題目和順序幾乎不會發生變化，所以背誦機經就給了一些學生能夠做到原題的可能，進而提高聽力分數。
但是要提醒各位考生，背誦機經的難度是非常大的。首先，機經的含量太大，想全部背誦不太現實。其次，就算是看了很多名師或者網站的預測後大大縮減了範圍，但是背誦量依然很大，而且不只需要準確的背誦答案，還要記住每一個場景下答案出現的順序，這更是難上加難。偶有聽說有靠背機經取得聽力分數提高的案例，但是可想而知那些人付出了多麼大的努力，俗話說叫把機經融入到血液裏了，這是一般學生望而生畏而且也無法做到的。
那麼，我們應該以一種什麼樣的態度和方法來對待機經呢?首先，我覺得機經無疑是一個高頻詞彙的寶庫，與其天天花錢去追求一些高頻詞彙的寶書，還不如上網下載一個機經，並且把它當做背單詞的利器。筆者認爲，這樣做有以下幾點好處：你能在一個真實的雅思場景描述下來背誦單詞，比起手拿枯燥的單詞表死記硬背要強很多，因爲脫離場景背單詞是最徒勞無功的，想想有幾個人能真正的背過字典就知道了;對於雅思考試的高頻場景胸有成竹，並且能夠舉一反三。舉個例子來說，跟租房子這個大場景有關的考題包括：住房類型，房源信息來源，預約，看房，維護維修，保險等，如若能在這個龐大的場景中進行細緻的分類和歸納總結的話，你對雅思場景的把握和出題方向纔會有更深的認識，這樣纔會覺得學習並不枯燥而且是卓有成效的。如果你能用這樣的方式來對待機經，那麼機經勢必成爲你手中的一把利器。
一些雅思名師和知名的雅思網站會在考前對當月或當次考試做出預測，這些預測也是基於機經版本號的。一個機經的版本號其實是一次考試的代碼，學生需要做的是按照機經版本號去查找相對應的考試所在的頁碼，進而進行準備或者是死記硬背。預測一般分爲A級和B極預測，或者分爲一級預測和二級預測。每一個預測內包含有幾十個機經的版本號，範圍雖然有所縮小，但是量依然較大。其實這就相當於很多科目的老師在考前給你劃主重點和次重點一樣。
由於許多雅思名師對歷次考試機經的研究，他們對雅思聽力舊題的出現規律有了較深刻的認識，所以在他們所給出的重點預測裏命中一舊，兩舊，甚至三舊的機率確實較大。
