1.指示代詞單數有this, that等。複數有these, those等。

a.可作主語:This (That) is a plane.

這(那)是一架飛機。

b.可作賓語: You can put this(those) on the desk.

你可把這(些)東西(雙方都知道的事物)放在桌上。

c.可作定語:These books are mine.

這些書是我的。

d.可作表語:The coat your brother talks about is this(that).

你兄弟說的衣服就是這件。

注，前面提到的東西，英語中常用that (those)表示，漢語中卻常用“這”表示。
