根據中韓雙方達成的共識，經過相關部門共同努力，當地時間3月28日上午7時30分，中韓雙方在韓國仁川國際機場，舉行在韓中國人民志願軍烈士遺骸交接儀式。確認交接437具志願軍烈士遺骸以及相關遺物

這些烈士是抗美援朝戰爭時期犧牲並散葬在朝鮮半島“軍事分界線”以南，近年來，經韓方發掘、鑑別後集中安葬在韓國京畿道坡州墓地。2013年6月，韓國總統朴槿惠訪華期間，向中國領導人提出移交在韓志願軍烈士遺骸，在中韓兩國領導人共同關心和推動下，經過雙方相關部門多次磋商，最終確定交接相關事宜。2013年12月19日，雙方啓動烈士遺骸起掘工作；2014年3月17日，雙方共同實施了遺骸裝殮入棺活動，中方派團出席並舉行了悼念儀式，經過認真準備，今天雙方正式實施交接。
