The museum of Selfies has opened in Los Angeles.

自拍博物館日前在洛杉磯開幕。

The 8,000 square foot museum is divided into two sections: the first part of the exhibition is a timeline of the selfie from the first cave painting to Facebook and cell phone cameras, and the second is a series of contemporary artists who have made artwork inspired by selfie culture.

博物館佔地8000平方英尺，由兩部分組成：第一部分展覽以時間爲軸展出了自拍發展歷程，從第一幅石洞壁畫，到臉書，再到手機相機；第二部分展覽是當代藝術家們受自拍文化啓發創作出的一系列藝術作品。

Guests are able to pose with the art works when wandering through the museum.

參觀者在館內遊覽時可與這些藝術作品合影。

"The selfies have a surprisingly rich history and go back as far as people have been making art," said Tommy Honton, co-founder of the museum.

博物館聯合創始人湯米·洪頓表示：“自拍有着令人驚歎的豐富歷史，最遠可追溯到人們創造藝術的時刻。”

"Rembrandt did hundreds of self-portraits, Albrecht Durer five, Van Gogh dozens." he said.

他說道：“倫勃朗創作了幾百幅自畫像，阿爾佈雷特·丟勒有五幅，梵高則有很多幅。”

The Museum of Selfies will be open for two months in LA, and then travel to other sites around the US.
