巴黎冷知識：巴黎擁有全球最多的米其林星級餐廳
米其林指南本來就是法國出來的，所以巴黎的米其林星級餐廳毫無疑問全球最多。
說到米其林指南，很多人可能都有過這樣一個疑問：它爲什麼和一個輪胎品牌同名？
不是同名，就是同一家公司，米其林指南就是這家法國的輪胎公司出的。
所以，一家輪胎公司爲什麼成了美食界的扛把子？
故事是這樣的，
米其林在1900年左右推出了這套書，他們把各種跟旅行有關的資料收集起來，企圖以此拉動整個汽車旅遊市場。（然後他們的輪胎就會更好賣）
當時這個書是免費送給顧客的，也送給酒店一類的地方；然而，他們發現這套書完全不受重視（因爲是免費送的），不少人乾脆就拿它當墊桌腳的磚。
於是，他們在1920年取消了免費，開始賣這個指南，結果這之後指南的影響力反而越來越大了。
然後，就成了我們現在所知的龐大系統。

Michelin Guides are a series of guide books published by the French tyre company Michelin for more than a century. The term normally refers to the annually published Michelin Red Guide, the oldest European hotel and restaurant reference guide, which awards up to three Michelin stars for excellence to a select few establishments. The acquisition or loss of a star can have dramatic effects on the success of a restaurant. Michelin also publishes a series of general guides to cities, regions, and countries, the Green Guides.
巴黎擁有世界上最多的米其林星級餐廳應該不足爲奇。《米其林指南》是由法國輪胎公司米其林出版的一系列指南類書籍，它已有100多年的歷史。這個詞語通常指的是每年出版的《米其林紅色指南》，這是歐洲最古老的酒店和餐廳推薦指南，它爲少數幾家精選餐廳授予了最高級別的米其林三星。米其林星級的得失會對餐廳的生意產生巨大的影響。米其林還出版了一系列城市、地區和國家的通用指南，也就是《米其林綠色指南》。
