北京鳥巢“玉兔”起火引圍觀

昨天中午，北京鳥巢西側50米處，一座正在施工中的塑料雕塑(雕塑名爲“祥雲玉兔”)起火，所幸未造成人員傷亡。據當事工人稱，可能是焊接時飛濺出的火花引燃底座的泡沫材料，致使整體結構起火。消防人員迅速趕到將火撲滅。
記者在現場看到，該建築高約3米，“祥雲”底座部分已被燒燬，3只“玉兔”橫七豎八地躺在四周。據工人介紹，該雕塑起名爲“祥雲玉兔”，預示着兔年吉祥，其主要材質爲塑料泡沫。原本預計昨晚搭建完。

背景介紹：國家體育場是2008年北京奧運會的主場館，由於於獨特造型又俗稱“鳥巢”。體育場在奧運會期間設有10萬個座位，承辦該屆奧運會的開、閉幕式，以及田徑同足球等比賽項目。由2001年普利茨克獎獲得者赫爾佐格、德梅隆與中國建築師李興剛等合作完成的巨型體育場設計，形態如同孕育生命的“巢”，它更像一個搖籃，寄託着人類對未來的希望。設計者們對這個國家體育場沒有做任何多餘的處理，只是坦率地把結構暴露在外，因而自然形成了建築的外觀。
