定句型，連詞成句
這個環節是成文的關鍵，一定要注意做到：
(1)選用比較有把握的詞彙，用恰當的句型寫出確切反映內容要求的句子。在熟悉的基礎上，鼓勵多用高級詞彙和結構複雜的複雜句。如表達“爲了……”時，可用in order to do 或 so as to do.也可用so that引導目的狀語從句。
(2)寫出的句子要達意，完整，語法正確，合乎習慣，特別是句式、謂語動詞形式要有根有據。
(3)表達限定的內容有困難時，就要想到“All roads lead to Rome.”(條條大路通羅馬)這句話，用變通的方法，以達到“曲徑通幽”。如要譯“他表哥外強中乾”這樣一句話，表達起來似乎很難，但我們完全可以通過學過的東西將這句話明白貼切地表達出來：His cousin looks strong but in fact, he is rather weak.
(4)儘量避免使用漢語式的英語。例如要表達“她睡得很遲”，不可寫成：She slept very late.應該寫成：She went to bed very late.因爲“sleep late”表示“睡懶覺”。又如要表達“他一點都不擔心他的英語”，不可寫成：He is not a little worried about his English.實際上意思完全相反，表達成“他非常擔心他的英語”了。應該是：He is not a bit worried about his English. 或：He is not worried about his English at all. 連詞成句，添減相宜
單句寫出後，根據短文的內容要求，確定先寫什麼，後寫什麼，按照表述內容的情節發展和實際需要，重新排列組合已寫成的句子，劃分必要的段落，一般分成三段。
即：文章的開頭(Introduction)、文章的主體(Main body)和文章的結尾(Conclusion).這樣寫成文章的初稿。在連詞成句的過程中，還要注意以下幾點：
(1)句子或段落間的連接不僅僅是個語言問題，也是個邏輯思維方面的問題，這兩者是不能分開的。能注意到這一點，你的文章就能達到條理清楚、層次分明的境界。
(2)爲了使句子或段落語義連貫，表達合理準確，可以適當加入一些連接詞語。如表達轉折可用but, however, otherwise等，表達遞進可用and, also, besides, What’s more等，表達因果so, therefore, as a result等，表達對比可用at the same time, mean while，while等，表達讓步可用though, although, even if等。有時還需要加入一些必要的過渡句子以達到承上啓下的效果。
(3)仔細推敲在文章的哪些地方可用複雜句。切忌生搬硬套，給人一種爲了用複雜句而用複雜句的感覺。要用得自然、得體。要順應行文的需要，與整個文章渾然一體。
儘量使用我們熟悉的賓語從句、狀語從句和定語從句。
檢查，修改，定稿，謄寫
檢查修改是進一步減少疏漏提高質量的最後程序，這時要對照題目要求，認真檢查以下幾點：
(1)內容有無遺漏或誤詞，最好一一對應檢查。
(2)體裁格式對不對。
(3)句子是否有語法結構錯誤，特別要檢查句子中的冠詞、代詞、名詞複數、動詞的時態、語態、主謂一致等方面是否有錯誤。
(4)句子是否合乎英語表達習慣，是否達意。
(5)書寫字跡和標點符號是否規範清晰，詞數是否基本上符合要求。經過認真修改潤色的短文，即可認真工整地謄寫在指定的卷面上。抄好後再速讀一遍，力求完美。
