如同之前預測的一樣，iPhone 4S除了硬件的升級外，最大的特點是人工智能語音程序Siri。在這個系統中，用戶可以向程序提出問題，比如“我今天需要帶雨傘嗎？”“現在巴黎幾點了？”“納斯達克股價如何？”這些問題，該程序將會給出答案。
"I need to have one because I see the potential of its cloud computing service and artificial intelligence application. That's currently a wide open area in China." 某用戶說：“我需要買一部，因爲我看到了雲服務以及人工智能應用的潛在價值。目前這在中國有廣闊的市場。”
文中的artificial intelligence application就是指“人工智能應用”。Artificial intelligence（人工智能）一般簡稱爲AI，是研究、開發用於模擬、延伸和擴展人的智能的理論、方法、技術及應用系統的一門新的技術科學。 該領域的研究包括robots（機器人）、language recognition（語言識別）、image recognition（圖像識別）、natural language processing（自然語言處理）等。
這裏的application也就是我們平時常用的app（應用程序/軟件），在smart phone（智能手機）上應用廣泛。由於新上市的iPhone 4S價格高昂，不少人選擇在gray market（灰市）購買。
Cloud computing service就是計算機的“雲計算服務”。類似的應用還有cloud search（雲搜索），cloud security（雲安全）等等。廣義雲計算指服務的交付和使用模式，指通過網絡以按需、易擴展的方式獲得所需服務。
