The Russia-China joint naval exercise, scheduled to be held from April 22 to 27 in the Yellow Sea of the Pacific Ocean, officially started on Sunday morning.

The drill involves a total of 16 vessels and two submarines from the Chinese Navy and fourwarships from the Russian Navy's Pacific Fleet as well as three supply ships. The exercise will focus on joint maritime air defense and defense of marine traffic arteries, including subjects of joint escort, maritime search and rescue, anti-submarine tactics as well as joint effort to rescue hijacked vessels.

4月22日(上週日)，中俄海上聯合軍事演習在中國青島附近黃海水域拉開帷幕，演習將持續至27日。

中方參演兵力包括艦艇16艘、潛艇2艘。俄羅斯海軍太平洋艦隊派出4艘軍艦和2艘補給艦。聯合演習的主題是“海上聯合防禦和保交作戰”，重點演練聯合聯合護航、聯合搜救、聯合反潛以及解救被劫船舶等科目。
