Some：一些(人或事物)，某些，某個。some 常用在肯定句中作主語、賓語或定語，作定語時，它可以修飾可數名詞(單、複數皆可)和不可數名詞。例如：
Some were at the meeting yesterday.
有些人昨天出席了會議。
Some of the chairs are broken.
有些椅子壞了。
Some of the money was stolen.
有些錢被偷了。
Some man at the door is asking to see you.
門口有人要見你。
Any：一些，任何。any 常用在否定句或疑問句中作主語、賓語或定語。作定語時，它可以修飾可數名詞(多爲複數)和不可數名詞。例如：
I can’t give you any.
我一點也不能給你。
She didn’t spent any of the money.
這錢她一點都沒有花。
Have you got any?
你有嗎?
用於 if 或 whether 之後：
If he had read any of those books he would have known the answer.
假如他看了這些書中的任何一本，就知道答案了。
I wonder whether there is any seats left.
我想知道還有沒有空座位。
用於 hardly, never, without 等詞後：
There is hardly any water left.
幾乎沒有水了。
He returned home without any of the others.
沒有任何人和他一起回家。
