薄熙來不再擔任重慶市委書記 張德江兼任

Chinese Vice Premier Zhang Dejiang has been appointed Party chief of Chongqing, replacing Bo Xilai, according to a decision of the Communist Party of China (CPC) Central Committee, Xinhua News Agency reported Thursday morning. Bo will no longer serve as secretary, standing committee member or member of the CPC Chongqing municipal committee, according to the decision.

據新華社報道，中共中央日前決定：中國國務院副總理張德江將接替薄熙來擔任重慶市委書記。薄熙來不再兼任重慶市委書記、常委、委員職務。

The decision was announced by Li Yuanchao, head of the Organization Department of the CPC Central Committee, at a meeting of officials in Chongqing on Thursday. Li said the CPC Central Committee made the decision after discreet consideration and based on current circumstances and the overall situation.

Zhang Dejiang was born in Liaoning Province in 1946. He graduated from the Department of Economics, Kim Il Sung University, Democratic People's Republic of Korea (DPRK). He became a member of the Political Bureau of the CPC Central Committee in 2002 and began serving as vice premier of the State Council from 2008. Zhang had previously served as Party chief in Jilin, Zhejiang and Guangdong provinces, respectively, between 1995 and 2007.

張德江，1946年生，遼寧人，畢業於朝鮮金日成綜合大學經濟系。2002年任中央政治局委員。2008年起擔任國務院副總理。1995年至2007年，張德江曾先後擔任吉林、浙江和廣東省委書記。

Bo Xilai had served as the Party chief of Chongqing since 2007. From 2004 to 2007, he was the minister of commerce of China.

薄熙來從2007年擔任重慶市委書記。2004年至2007年，薄熙來任商務部部長。
