SAT縮減國際考試場次 以加強安全管理大綱
In an effort to combat cheating, the College Board - the firm behind the SAT college entrance exam - announced new plans to tighten security.
爲打擊作弊，學術能力測試(SAT)大學入學考試主辦方美國大學委員會近日出臺了加強安全管理的新計劃。The new measures include canceling the June 2017 international SAT administration and reducing the international testing dates for the SAT to four for the 2017-2018 and 2018-2019 school years, with administrations in October, December, March and May.
新措施包括取消今年6月的SAT國際考試，將2017-2018和2018-2019學年的SAT國際考試日期減至4個，於10月、12月、3月、5月舉行考試。The College Board said reducing the number of tests means less repetition of the questions and will reduce the probability of disclosure.
美國大學委員會表示，減少考試場次意味着減少試題重複，還將降低泄題的可能性。
But critics such as Bob Schaeffer, education director for the National Center for Fair and Open Testing, told the Washington Post that with the instantaneous global communication through social media, there's no real way to prevent the circulation of test questions.
但是像全國公開與公平考試中心的教育總監鮑勃·謝弗這樣的批評人士，在接受《華盛頓郵報》採訪時表示，由於社交媒體帶來的全球即時通信，現在並沒有切實的方法來預防試題的流通。"The only way to stop unethical test-prep companies and individuals from gaining advance knowledge of upcoming test items is to stop reusing test questions," Schaeffer said.

上述決定無疑將給打算申請2018年高校秋招的國際學生帶來不便。The College Board said they are considering adding places for the tests in May to satisfy students demand. The deadline for registration for the May test is April 7.
