奧巴馬下館子刷卡遭拒 被疑信用卡欺詐

Speaking at the Consumer Financial Protection Bureau, President Barack Obama on Friday mentioned this recent encounter. He attendees his credit card had recently been declined at a restaurant, forcing the First Lady to pick up the tab.

“Rich, I should mention, by the way, that I went to a restaurant up in New York when I was there during the General Assembly, and my credit card was rejected,” Obama said, referring to CFPB Director Richard Cordray.

Press reports indicate the restaurant was Estela, rated one of the best new restaurants of 2014.

“It turned out I guess I don’t use it enough. So they thought there was some fraud going on,” Obama said.

The president said he turned to his wife to pay the tab.

“Fortunately, Michelle had hers. And I was trying to explain to the waitress, no, I really think that I’ve been paying my bills.”

時值9月份，奧巴馬總統因爲召開聯合國大會而趕來紐約。在紐約期間與美國第一夫人米歇爾在曼哈頓下城區的Estela餐廳裏用餐。 通過一張餐廳發佈在網上的點餐記錄，可以發現，奧巴馬總統當晚點的餐是歐芹醬配意大利起司（Burrata with salsa verde）以及碳烤麪包（charred bread），以及伴有胡桃子與小銀魚的苣菜沙拉（endive salad with walnut and anchovies）。

這家餐廳是倉南山餐廳（Blue Hill at Stone Barns）的一位前職員所開。而奧巴馬一家人在這個暑期剛剛在這家餐廳出席他們的御用大廚的婚禮。
