1.In the public eye: in a position that receives a lot of public notice and attention
公衆的視野之中，處於會接收到許多公衆的關注的位置
生活在公衆的視野之中的人，最典型的大概要算娛樂圈的明星了。他們的生活總是被暴露在聚光燈之下（in the spotlight），一舉一動都會被放大。

2.Turn a blind eye: to pretend not to notice sth bad that is happening
視而不見，假裝沒有注意到
“turn a blind eye to”一般用來指爲了避免自己捲入其中，而選擇對正在發生的事情采取視而不見的態度。
People should not turn a blind eye to poverty.
人們不應該對貧窮視而不見。
“be blind to”也表示相同的意思。兩者之前的區別在於“turn”表示的是採取視而不見的行動，強調狀態，而“be”強調的是視而不見的這種狀態。
3.See eye to eye with sb (on sth): to agree with someone (on something)
（在某件事情上）與某人看法一致
“see eye to eye”這個短語一般要涉及到兩個人。
My boss and I see eye to eye on this issue.
我的老闆和我在這件事情上看法一致。
當然，也可以用“agree with sb”，“have a common viewpoint with sb”來表示和某人意見一致。
4.with someone's eyes open: fully aware of the possible problems or results of a particular course of action
明知結果如何，明知有問題，心中有數
“with your eyes open”，這是要張開眼睛嗎？其實它既有本義即眼睛睜着的意思，也有其衍生含義指對可能出現的問題心中有數。在實際應用中，如果語境中有提及到遇到問題或者麻煩，這種情況之下，一般指的是它的衍生含義。

5.with someone's eyes shut/closed: having enough experience to be able to do something easily
輕車熟路，毫不費力
既然有“睜着眼睛”，那也有“閉着眼睛”。如果一個人可以閉着眼睛完成一件事情，那麼想必他對於這件事情非常熟悉，以至於能夠不費吹灰之力就能夠完成。當然，這種“閉着眼睛”多數情況下只是一種爲了突出能力的誇張表達，並不是真的指閉着眼睛做事。
