中華人民共和國釣魚島及其附屬島嶼的領海基線公佈，中國有關部門將對釣魚島及其附屬島嶼開展常態化監視監測。

中國政府對日本政府“購買”釣魚島的決定做出了堅決的迴應，於週一公佈了釣魚島及其附屬島嶼的領海基點和基線。
Territorial coordinates指“領土座標”，是由base points（基點）連成的baselines（基線）組成的，能精確標示國家邊境。“領海基線”就是territorial sea baseline。
中華人民共和國領海基線採用直線基線法劃定，由各相鄰基點之間的直線連線組成。基線裏面向陸地一側的水域就是內水（internal waters），向海的一側首先是領海（territorial waters），後面還會有專屬經濟區（Exclusive Economic Zone）和大陸架（the Continental Shelf）等各種管轄海域。
同時，中國政府還宣佈將對釣魚島及其附屬島嶼開展normalized surveillance and monitoring（常態化監視監測）。
