樂視缺錢，老闆黯然下臺 | “窮”除了lack money，還有什麼高級說法？

 話說，今天商業界的頭條新聞大概就要算樂視CEO賈躍亭辭職了。

曾經一度非常紅火的樂視轉眼間似乎就要面臨關門的局面，實在是讓我等吃瓜羣衆吃驚不已。

 

畢竟，小編當年對看起來很神奇、可以肆意點播的樂視電視動心過的。後來因爲手頭緊，生活拮据纔打消了念頭。

賈老闆在微博裏留了封辭職信，宣佈將從樂視CEO位置上辭職，但同時，依舊展現了“打不死的小強” 精神：

樂視首席執行官賈躍亭因缺乏資金，宣佈辭職，並將承擔全部責任，償還所有債務。

那麼，爲什麼看起來挺炫酷的樂視居然可能成爲互聯網時代另一個要倒下的大咖？歸根到底，可以用一句當下流行語來總結：能力撐不起夢想。

在我們記憶力，樂視有幾年超級威武的，電視賣得好，很多賽事，活動都只能在樂視網上看，那會兒大家還一度以爲它將挑戰愛奇藝、優酷等視頻網站地位。

 

The company was once a tech darling success story, starting with online video streaming before quickly expanding to smartphones and electric vehicles, and even launching in India and the U.S.

樂視最開始書寫過一段技術神話故事，從最開始的在線視頻流媒體起家，而後迅速拓展到智能手機、電動車行業，並在印度和美國等海外市場發佈相關產品。

 

But the company's fast ascent didn't appear to be fueled by basic business sense, with LeEco spending far beyond its means and failing to replenish its coffers.

但是，樂視的急速攀升背後並沒有基本商業邏輯支撐，樂視基本處於入不敷出的狀態，資金庫填補跟不上速度。

 

與此同時，樂視的野心太大，想要同時整合多個產業鏈，打造一種全新的生態圈，挑戰BAT（指百度，阿里巴巴，騰訊）三家行業位置。

汽車和智能手機是造成資金緊缺的罪魁禍首。必須承認，樂視在汽車製造方面沒有什麼商業經驗。

 

賈老闆是一個比較有執念的人，雖然在線視頻業務做得不錯，但他一直不滿足於只做視頻，還“腳踏幾個行業”。

 

In April 2016 the company unveiled LeSEE, its first concept vehicle, and followed up with LeSEE Pro in October. The revenue model for its car business isn't clear, and even Baidu Inc. is spending millions to develop technology in this realm without enunciating how it aims to make money.

2016年4月，樂視推出了第一款概念車LeSEE，並於10月份跟進推出了LeSEE Pro，這兩款車被樂視稱爲“第一代電動車系統” 。但樂視的汽車業務盈利模式卻並不清晰。甚至連互聯網巨頭百度也斥資數百萬美元在電動車領域開發技術，卻也沒能說清楚到底如何盈利。

 

Then there's phones. The list of global smartphone makers churning out decent models is extremely long. The list of those making decent money is extremely short. LeEco is on only one of those lists. Enough said.

其次，就是智能手機。如果要盤點全球製造智能手機的產商，這個名單可能會很長。然而，如果要列舉真正能靠做手機盈利的產商，那就寥寥無幾了。樂視恐怕只能位於第一個表單上。好了，點到爲止。

資金鍊驚現巨大缺口

The fallout from its cash crunch continued to widen: A China Merchants Bank Co. branch successfully petitioned the Shanghai People's Court to freeze 1.24 billion yuan ($182 million) of assets belong to LeEco, Jia and his wife. Jia has taken his company, employees and shareholders on a wild emotional ride from "don't worry" to "it's worse than we thought."

此後，資金危機進一步加深：招商銀行某分行成功申請上海市人民法院凍結了賈躍亭和他老婆賬戶下的樂視資產，約合12.4億元人民幣（1.82億美元）。如此一來，導致樂視的員工和股東的情緒大幅度起伏，他們體會到了從“不用太擔心” 到 “比預想要遭”的心路感受。

 

樂視何去何從？

很多人都在擔心樂視的命運，它到底下一步該如何走呢？

首先樂視領導要放棄放棄樂視帝國能夠同時保住7個部門的想法。賈老闆需要放棄一些反覆提及的項目，把這些項目賣給其他公司。

 

Televisions also need to be reassessed. With its founding in streaming content, there is some logic behind the company selling hardware. But LeEco needs to consider the customer's perspective: Is there any reason why a streaming video consumer needs to buy a TV from LeEco? If Jia can't prove an affirmative answer, he should dump the business.

 

樂視電視項目也需要重新評估。因爲樂視網以流媒體內容起家，所以賣電視機硬件還是有一定商業邏輯的。但是樂視也需要站在客戶角度考慮：流媒體視頻用戶是否真的需要購買一臺樂視電視呢？如果這個問題沒有肯定的答案，那麼可以考慮關閉這項業務。

 

由此來看，樂視未來一段時間都將出現“缺錢，缺錢，缺錢” 的狀態，日子不太好過。那麼，英語中，“缺錢”到底怎麼說呢？

2. poverty-stricken

stricken是struck打擊的過去分詞，意思是被……打擊，也是一個非常常用的構詞方式，這裏就是被poverty打擊到了，就是窮困的意思。

pinched的意思是捏緊的，拮据的，指人經濟狀況糟糕。
