[誤] The school has three thousand students.

[正] There are three thousand students in the school.

注：英語動詞 have 有三義：（1）物質上的所有，如 I have a lot of friends. （2）身心上的具有：如 I have a poor memory. （3）構成上的含有：如A week has seven days = There are seven days in a week. 例句中的 have 與（3）相似，但仍是似是而非，因學校是一個地點，不是機構，學校與學生的關係，不是不可分離的，不像星期少了一天就不成。還有“there + be”願意爲“存在”，存在於某處，因而變成“有”的意思。
