在日常英語中，大家都知道這個詞表示“思考，思索”，比如：

這正是我們一直在思考的方法。

但是在商務英語中，它的意思卻是“投機、買空賣空”，比如：

to speculate on the futures 搞期貨投機生意

stocks speculate 股票投資

它的名詞形式是speculation，比如：

speculation on foreign exchange 外匯投機
