dare的用法
1、dare用作實義動詞時，有時態和人稱的變化，用do， does或did來構成否定句或疑問句。
2、dare作“敢”解時，指“勇敢”，含有大膽、魯莽、愛冒險，或因愛慕虛榮而甘冒生命或受懲罰的危險的意味，後面通常接動詞不定式，有時可省略不定式符號to。一般不用於進行體。
3、dare還有“激某人做難辦的事”的意思，即問某人敢不敢(或能不能)做某事，暗示他不敢(或不能)，其後接以動詞不定式充當補足語的複合賓語，不定式中的to一般不省略。
4、dare還可作“冒險，面對危難而不畏懼”解，直接接賓語，這是不常見的用法。
5、dare的過去式是dared，但多用於正式語體，口語中少見。
6、dare用作情態動詞，一般用於疑問句、否定句或條件句，或與hardly， never， no one， nobody等連用。有時態變化，但沒有人稱形式的變化，其後接動詞原形。構成疑問句和否定句時不用助動詞do。
7、dare的否定式有時可用來指過去的事情。
8、表示“在激將法的鼓動下”用for a dare是英式英語用法，用on a dare是美式英語用法。
