 Promise用法

Promise有動詞和名詞兩種用法,

用作一般動詞時,解釋爲“允諾”“答應”。是指作出口頭或書面的許諾,答應別人自己去做某事。但僅指主觀意願,並不一定能實現或有實現的基礎。

promise用作及物動詞時,其後可接名詞、代詞、動詞不定式或that從句作賓語,也可接由名詞、動詞不定式、that從句充當直接賓語的雙賓語。其間接賓語可以轉換爲介詞to的賓語。promise也可作“有可能”“給人以…指望”。可用作不及物動詞,也可用作及物動詞。 用作及物動詞時接名詞或代詞作賓語。

Promise作爲名詞時,其基本意思是“承諾,諾言”,是可數名詞。promise也可作“希望,出息”,可用來指人的出息,也可用來指事情有希望,是不可數名詞。另外promise有時可接動詞不定式或that,引導的從句來充當定語或同位語
