TVLine reports that Morgan, who previously starred as Klaus Mikaelson in The Vampire Diaries and The Originals, is joining TNT's Animal Kingdom as Jed, the potentially unhinged brother of Colin (Grant Harvey) in the show's late '70s flashbacks.

This will mark Morgan's first return to the small screen since The Originals' gutting finale aired last August, but the actor has several other projects coming up.
