Crown jewels belonging to Sweden's royal family have been stolen by a pair of thieves, who fled the scene by motorboat and are now on the run.
瑞典王室的皇冠被兩名竊賊盜走，乘汽艇逃離現場的這對竊賊目前仍然在逃。
An eyewitness, told The Daily Mail: “One of my friends saw two people running... I saw the boat, a white little boat with a motor on the back. The two men hurriedly jumped on board. I knew immediately they were burglars because of the way they were behaving. So we contacted the police.”
一名目擊者告訴《每日郵報》：“我朋友看到有兩個人在跑...我看到了一艘船尾有發動機的白色小船。那兩個人慌忙跳上船，我馬上意識到他們是竊賊。於是我報了警。”
The burglars escaped with two royal crowns – one belonging to the 17th Century King Karl IX, the other to his wife, Queen Kristina – and a royal orb.

As they sped off, police launched a search operation by sea, land and air, but the pair evaded pursuit and vanished. “It's 1-0 to them right now,” a police spokesperson said, “The stolen crown jewels are of national interest, so it is not possible to put an economic value on them. ”

The“invaluable objects”were initially buried with the monarchs, but were later exhumed and put on display in Strangnas Cathedral. The cathedral was open to the public when the jewels were taken from locked-up glass boxes at around 1.30pm.

The police spokesperson, Thomas Agnevik, said the thieves may have left their boat and continued their escape by car, he said, “We are looking for a small and open motorboat. We have some different information about how exactly the boat looked. We are now examining all the tips we receive."
警方發言人托馬斯•昂內維克說，竊賊可能已經棄船，繼續駕車逃跑了。他說：“我們要找的是一艘小小的敞篷汽艇，關於船的具體外觀，我們收集到了一些不同的信息，所有線索我們都將深入調查。”
The search continued through the night, but no arrests had been made on Wednesday.

No one was hurt during the theft, authorities said.
