高鐵盒飯黴變事件考驗'最嚴監管'

Ensuring the safety of boxed food on bullet trains means there will be more strict inspections in ingredient purchasing, processing and temperature control during the trip, People's Daily reported last Tuesday.

《人民日報》上週二報道稱,爲確保列車上盒裝食品的安全,將在材料採購、食品加工和運輸中的溫度控制方面進行更嚴格的安全檢查。

China Railway said that the so-called "normal temperature chain" boxed meal will be suspended beginning Sept 29 while tighter inspection guidelines and regulations will be used to improve the safety control of boxed meals. Cold-processed boxed food with higher quality will be enriched.

中國鐵路總公司表示,所謂的“常溫鏈”盒式餐將從9月29日起暫停使用,同時將採用更嚴格的檢查指南和規定來改善盒裝餐的安全控制。高品質的冷加工盒裝食品將得到豐富。

Normal temperature food refers to food packed with multi-layer plastic film, which is processed under high temperature and high pressure with nitrogen packed in.

“常溫”食品指的是用多層塑料薄膜包裝的食品,它是在高溫高壓下用氮氣包裝而成的。

Most food provided on bullet trains, according to the report, is cold-processed, and its storage temperature is strictly controlled between 0 to 10 degrees Celsius with a shelf life of 72 hours.

Cui Wei, inspector from the State Council, said that "normal temperature" food production uses techs for canned food production, and the key point to safety control is to prevent package damage in logistics and storage.
