Chinese state media on Friday brandedApple's iPhone a threat to national security because ofthe smartphone's ability to track and time-stamp user locations.

中國國家媒體週五稱蘋果iPhone是國家安全威脅，因爲這種智能手機可以對用戶的地點進行追蹤和進行時間標記。

A report by broadcaster CCTV criticized theiPhone's "Frequent Locations" function for allowing users to be tracked andinformation about them revealed.

"This is extremely sensitive data," said a researcher interviewed by thebroadcaster.

If the data were accessed, it could revealan entire country's economic situation and "even state secrets,'"the researchersaid.
