A new study finds that 74 percent of the rich in South Korea with fortunes of one billion U.S. dollars or more were found to have inherited their wealth.
一項新的研究發現，在韓國，大約74%的、擁有十億美元或更多的財富的富豪是通過繼承得到的財富。The study was produced by the Peterson Institute for International Economics after classifying the wealth of billionaires as either self-made or inherited. The study was compiled from Forbes World's Billionaires list over the past two decades.
這項研究結果是由彼得森國際經濟學研究所在對無論是自己起家還是繼承的億萬富翁進行分類後得出的。該項研究還分析了過去二十年的《福布斯》全球億萬富豪排行榜。The institute found that the percentage of billionaires in South Korea who inherited their fortunes was the fifth largest in the world out of 67 countries and two-and-half times higher than the average rate of 30 percent.

Other countries that had a high rate of the super-rich with inherited wealth were Kuwait, Finland, Denmark and the United Arab Emirates.
繼承型富豪佔比很高的還有科威特、芬蘭、丹麥和阿聯酋四個國家。The study found that the rate for China stood at a mere two percent, 18 percent for Japan and 29 percent for the U.S. In Asia, the rate of billionaires with inherited fortunes stood at 37 percent in Singapore.
該研究還發現，中國的繼承型富豪佔比僅爲2%，日本爲18.5%，美國爲28.9%。在亞洲的其他地區，新加坡繼承型富豪佔比爲37%，印度是34%。As reasons for the high percentage of such billionaires in South Korea, experts cited an economic structure centered on conglomerates, an immature capital market and the trend of preferring stable jobs.
