A family in Colorado has proved why it's always important to look at the expiration dates before buying groceries.
近日，科羅拉多州的一個家庭證明了爲什麼在購買食品雜貨前查看產品有效期很重要。After getting home from Walmart, the Carelses — of Lakewood, Colo. — realized that they had purchased a box of Quaker 100% Natural Granola cereal that was more than two decades old.
在從沃爾瑪回家後，住在科羅拉多州萊克伍德市的卡羅斯一家人才意識到，他們購買的那盒桂格100%天然即食麥片已經超過20年了。Only problem was, they didn't notice until after they started eating it.

"I had about two bites, and that was it," Andrea Carelse told Denver 7. Her husband, Josiah, scarfed down an entire bowl.

"I just started eating and thinking, 'It just tastes funny. It must be OK,'" he said, noting how his wife had warned him to stop.
“我開始吃然後心想：'只不過味道怪怪的。肯定沒問題。'”他說。然後才注意到他的妻子警告他別吃了。"I was like, 'Josiah, you're going to be really sick,'" Andrea remembered.
“我說：'喬賽亞，你會病得很重的。'” 安德里亞回憶道。Luckily for him, the cereal — which was dated Feb. 22, 1997 — didn't cause any problems.

喬賽亞說道：“我們只是從貨架上拿了它, 對...21年前產的。”Denver 7 reached out to Walmart and PepsiCo, Quaker's parent company, for comment on the stomach-churning purchase. While Pepsi didn't respond, Walmart said it was looking into the incident.
《丹佛7號頻道》隨後聯繫了沃爾瑪和百事公司（桂格的母公司），詢問對此次令人反胃的購買事件有何看法。百事方面沒有迴應，但沃爾瑪表示正在調查此事。
