People who were maltreated as children are more likely to have poor health and living standards decades later, a study suggests.
一項研究表明，兒時被虐待的人在幾十年後的健康狀況及生活水平可能會相對較差。The researchers tracked 8,076 people born in 1958 until the age of 50. Those who had been abused were more likely to have long-term illnesses than those who had not, they found.

The study showed that the potential impact of child neglect and abuse could have socio-economic impacts for decades.
