一、導語

隨着2010年11月《普通高等學校招生全國統一考試》﹙江蘇卷說明﹚的出臺,我們發現了與以往任何一年的考試說明所不同的是,今年提供了兩篇書面表達樣文。一篇爲2009年江蘇高考英語書面表達,即表格加插圖談鼠標的利弊,另一篇爲漫畫作文。﹙附樣題2﹚ 示例2

下圖描繪的是現在許多家長的苦惱。請你根據對下面這幅漫畫的理解用英語寫一篇短文,描述一下他們可能的做法並發表你的看法。

漫畫一方面比文字材料更直觀形象,另一方面則由於誇張而使諷刺意蘊的含義更復雜,更不容易把握,而我們的學生在這一類作文方面幾乎沒有任何的訓練。雖然2010年高考英語書面表達會考什麼誰也不能斷言,但幫助學生在漫畫類作文方面有所準備是非常有必要的。

二、問題的提出

學生課前在教師沒有任何指導的前提下已嘗試過這篇範例的寫作,所以教師首先安排了一個小組討論的活動,就寫作過程中所遇到的問題進行討論,以小組爲單位提出問題。學生的問題主要集中在以下幾個方面:

1.讀圖。看不懂圖中人物的關係和身份,不理解漫畫所要表達的含義。

2.解意。無法體會漫畫所傳達的幽默,不能聯繫實際生活。

3.謀篇。對於英語漫畫類作文的基本結構完全沒有概念,不知如何下手。

三、問題的解決

針對學生提出的這三方面的問題,教師通過講練結合的方式幫助學生各個擊破。

1.讀圖。要求學生在讀圖時務必關注四個方面:(1)題目。漫畫的標題是漫畫的眼睛,透過這個“眼睛”,可以洞察整幅漫畫的主題。(2)畫面。漫畫畫面上的每一個細節都對錶達漫畫的寓意有提示作用。(3)語言。漫畫爲了表達其寓意,常常配有言簡意賅、畫龍點睛的語言文字,思考這些語言文字中所隱含的作者的觀點。(4)誇張。漫畫爲了說明某種觀點,常常對人物行爲或場景描繪給以變形誇張,以引起讀者共鳴。誇張之處往往是漫畫的弦外之音,是漫畫所要表達的寓意所在。

2.解意。在理解和闡釋漫畫含義時要關注三點:(1)確定作者的基本態度,是屬於誇張褒揚還是屬於批評諷喻;(2)運用想象力,合理的把漫畫所描述的現象和實際生活相聯繫;

要特別注意除圖片外的文字提示部分,它往往暗示了行文的方向和重點,必須仔細閱讀。

3.謀篇。英語漫畫類作文在行文時往往分爲三個部分:(1)describe the picture; (2) interpret the picture; (3) give your opinions. 這樣的結構可以使文章邏輯清晰,脈絡分明。同時,這三個部分都有一些套語可以使用,熟記這些套語可以幫助學生明顯提高文章的檔次。如:

在解決問題的過程中,教師就每個問題都配備了相應的漫畫,在指導之後給學生分別以小組或個人的形式加以操練,以做到當堂學習,當堂鞏固。

四、注意點的補充

就英語漫畫類作文的特點,教師還補充幾點要求學生在行文時注意:(1)保證作文的三要素---體裁、人稱、時態要正確;(2)避免漫畫類作文的一些常見錯誤,如:誤解圖意、中心不明等;(3)控制字數,不能太短,但也不要太長;(4)結尾儘量要寫地精彩。

五、總結

一篇高分英語漫畫作文必定是做到了仔細審題、準確立義、規範行文和整潔書寫。要求學生在今後的練習中牢記這幾個方面。

As is vividly betrayed in the drawing above, the people who are watching the chess game are reluctant to openly express their opinions about what is right and what is wrong though they can tell the right from the wrong. The drawing is really thought-provoking.

The aim of the painter of the drawing is to reveal the fact that people in modern society are losing the courage to openly support what is right and condemn what is wrong due to their personal interests. The theft case in the bus is a case in point. Most often, nobody is brave enough to stop the thief. Sometimes the person who stops the thief in the bus is seriously injured by the thief with all the passengers doing nothing to help on the spot. It is quite common that some victims dare not admit that their properties are stolen. Such cases are increasing and threatening our society.

Counter-measures should be taken to avoid the cases mentioned above. To begin with, we must launch a campaign to popularize the world outlook of sticking to what is right and condemning what is wrong. What’s more, we must establish relevant laws to award those who support what is right and punish those who avoid and escape weak when they are facing the wrong.
