今天主攻和result有關的兩個短語：resulting from和 resulting in
Resulting from：由……造成，由……導制的結果，from後面是造成該結果（後果）的來源，原因。作爲動名詞來修辭其前面的詞：
Any damage to a book resulting from negligence must be paid for by the borrower. 由於疏忽而對書籍所造成的損壞應由借閱者賠償。
My new book resulting from my inspiration makes a huge success. 我的那本來自靈感的新書大獲成功。
Tom's failure resulting from lack of patience is a good lesson for us. 湯姆由於缺乏耐心而導制的失敗給我們上了很好的一課。
He's got nothing resulting from his airy plan. 他那不切實際的計劃毫無結果。
