Faith口語天天學第61期:"Since"的用法

今天，我們主要講講”since”的用法：
首先，”since”表示“自從……起，直到現在”，”since”後面一般用過去式句子或單詞，詞組，前面一般用現在完成時，或現在完成進行時態：
I've never danced since I came to Guangzhou. 我自從到了廣州，就沒跳過舞。
I've been teaching English since I graduated from college. 我自從大學畢業後，一直教英語。
We've been very close since we met each other 2 years ago. 我們自從兩年前認識後，一直是很要好的朋友。
She hasn't worked since her marriage. 她結婚後，未曾去工作過。
Ever since 表示從那時到現在，此後一直：
He went to London in 1979, and has lived there ever since. 他1979年去了倫敦，從此之後，一直住在那。
“since”的第二種用法，表示原因，“由於，因爲，鑑於”，用在稍正式的場合：
The hiking is cancelled since it's raining cats and dogs. 徒步旅行被取消了，因爲下着傾盆大雨。
Since we have no money, we can't afford it for the time being. 我們沒錢，所以暫時買不起。
I can't go to your class since I am ill. 我不能去上你的課，因爲我病了。
“for“也可以引導原因，用在稍口語化的場合：
I can't let you do it for it's gonna damage your reputation. 我不能讓你這麼做，因爲這會毀了你的名聲。
They call for a meeting for there's something urgent to discuss right now. 他們要求立即開一個會議，因爲發生了緊急的事需要討論。
