Todd: Howard, you said you saw the movie The Aviator.
託德：霍華德，你說過你看過電影《飛行家》。Howard: Ah, yes, with Leonardo DiCaprio.
霍華德：對，看過，主演是萊昂納多·迪卡普里奧。Todd: OK. What is the movie about?
託德：好。這部電影講的什麼內容？
Howard: Well, "The Aviator" refers to the character, Howard Hughes.
霍華德：嗯，電影的名字“飛行家”指的就是霍華德·休斯這個人物。Todd: OK, who was Howard Hughes?
託德：好，霍華德·休斯是誰？Howard: Well, Howard Hughes is a very famous person in the United States. He was a flyer, first of all, and he was a producer of movies and he was a little crazy. The interesting part of his character, although he was a very brilliant thinker, and a great aviator, he had a kind of obsession with cleanliness, which actually drove him crazy in his later life.
霍華德：嗯，霍華德·休斯是美國非常著名的人物。首先，他曾經是名飛行員，同時他也是電影製作人，他有點兒瘋狂。這個人物最有意思的地方是，雖然他是卓越的思想家、飛行員，但是他有潔癖，這在他的晚年中幾乎把他逼瘋。Todd: Really, so he always wanted to be super clean.
託德：真的嗎，所以他一直希望保持超級潔淨的狀態。Howard: Super clean! He hated germs and he went to extraordinary lengths to keep himself and all his surrounding clean. If anybody touched him, he had to wash many times to get all the germs off of him, and he was just, it became such an obsession that it interfered with his entire personal life.
霍華德：超級潔淨！他討厭細菌，他竭盡全力使自己及周圍的環境保持清潔。如果有人碰了他，他就必須要洗很多次，把所有細菌都從身上洗掉，這後來演變成潔癖，影響了他整個的生活。Todd: Wow! What about you? Are you very clean? Do you worry about germs?
託德：哇！那你呢？你也非常愛乾淨嗎？你擔心細菌嗎？Howard: No not really. I don't think so.
霍華德：實際上不是。我不這麼認爲。Todd: OK, actually, if you're eating M&M's and one falls off your hand and hits the floor, would you pick it up real quick and still eat it, or would you not eat it?
託德：好，實際上，如果你吃巧克力豆的時候，有一顆從手裏掉到了地上，那你會馬上撿起來吃掉，還是就不要了？Howard: It depends if I had cleaned the floor lately.
霍華德：這取決於我的地板最近有沒有清理。Todd: OK, but overall, back to the movie, was it a good movie?
託德：好，回到電影上來，總的來說這是部好電影嗎？Howard: Ah, yes. In fact, it's been nominated for a number of Academy Awards, and I think this year, it will do quite well. It's entertaining and it's well performed by Leonardo DiCaprio, although I think that Leonardo DiCaprio is a little young for the part but he did a very good job in his acting.
