劍橋大學500多年首次面向全球發佈中文歌曲
The choir of King's College, Cambridge, released its new album containing songs performed in Chinese for the first time.
劍橋大學國王學院合唱團日前發佈了首次收錄中文歌曲的新專輯。The album contains 19 songs, with two of them sung in Mandarin.
該專輯包含19首歌曲，其中兩首以普通話演唱。One of the songs is "Second Farewell to Cambridge", a poem originally written by Chinese poet and King's College alumnus Xu Zhimo.
其中一首歌是《再別康橋》，這是中國詩人、國王學院校友徐志摩撰寫的詩。
While the poem has been set to music many times before, King's has commissioned the first musical setting of the text by a mainstream classical composer.
雖然這首詩已多次被配樂演繹，但國王學院委託了主流古典作曲家根據詩的文字進行創作。The new piece, by renowned English composer John Rutter, has been recorded in celebration of the near 100-year link between King's College and Xu Zhimo, and has been released on Jan 26 on the King's College Record Label.
這首由著名英國作曲家約翰·盧特擔綱的新作品，是爲了銘記國王學院與徐志摩近百年的不解之緣而錄製的，已於1月26日由國王學院的唱片公司發佈。The other song is "Jasmine Flower", a Chinese folk song.
另一首歌是中國民歌《茉莉花》。King's College was founded in 1441 by Henry VI. It is one of the oldest colleges in Cambridge.
