1. up to speed

up to speed的意思是“瞭解最新情況；跟上進度”。

2. in (all) fairness
fairness的意思是“合理；公正”，in (all) fairness表示“綜合起來公平地講”，也可以說to be fair。

說句公道話，他工作一直很努力。
3. relate to
這裏有一個熟詞僻義知識點：relate可以表示“領略；認同；發生共鳴”。
relate to sb表示理解（某人）；體恤（某人）；
relate to sth就是“理解；認同；與…產生共鳴”的意思。
The culture that he describes is so different from mine that I sometimes find it hard to relate to.
他所描述的那種文化和我所處的文化如此迥異，有時我覺得很難理解。
4. get used to
人們總會出乎你的意料。你爲表象所矇蔽，看慣了他們人前的一面，以爲眼見爲實。這時他們就會出其不意，展示出自己深藏不露不爲你所知的複雜內心。
People can surprise you. You get used to thinking of them one way, stuck in their roles. They are what they are. And then they do something that shows you there's all this depth and dimension that you never knew existed.
△get used to意思是“習慣於”，要注意這裏的to是介詞，後面加名詞或者是動名詞哦。
He is used to the soft climate of the south.
他習慣於南方溫暖的氣候。
You'd better get used to doing as you're told.
